Actress Anita Ekberg has passed away at the age of 83.
According to reports today, the star passed away in a hospital near Rome following a number of illnesses.
The Swedish born actress starred in a number of films including La Dolce Vita, Blood Alley and War and Peace.
Her role in Frederick Fellini’s La Dolce Vita launched her to stardom and Anita pictured in The Trevi Fountain (see below) is widely recognised as an iconic movie scene.
