Awful.

A woman in South Carolina has been found in a storage container and was “chained like a dog” after going missing in August.

The woman in question, Kala Brown, was located after police searching the area heard banging from within the container. WYFF-TV report that County Sheriff Chuck Wright got information from a sex crime investigator which led them to the property.

Wright said that the container was 30 feet long, 15 wide and 10 to 12 feet high and that Kala was “chained inside like a dog” and held against her will for two months.

He said, “It was pretty emotional, to say the least, when she was found — especially when she was chained like a dog. She had a chain around her neck! Its only by God’s grace we found that little girl alive.”

He added, “We’re trying to make sure we don’t have a serial killer on our hands. (It) very possibly could be what we have.”

Todd Kohlhepp has been identified as the man who owns the property where the container was found. He is a convicted sex offender.

Sheriff Wright confirmed that Todd would be charged with kidnapping and possibly murder saying, “He’s currently incarcerated. We’re trying to get all this sorted out and figure out what were going to charge him with. One of the charges will be kidnapping, it could be murder. It could be a number of things.”

It’s believed there could be up to four bodies buried somewhere on the land and investigations are currently underway.

Brown’s boyfriend, Charlie Carver, who disappeared when she did has still not been found.
