A 61-year-old man was stabbed while walking home with his wife last night in Dublin.
The incident occurred on Glasnevin shortly after 11pm, when the pair were approached by two men who demanded that he hand over his wallet.
According to Newstalk, one of the men then stabbed the man three times before they made their getaway in a car.
The victim was treated for non life-threatening injuries at the Mater Hospital, where his wife was treated for shock.
