His father was also involved in the tragic accident and is in hospital.
A six-year-old boy has sadly died after an accident in Co. Antrim.
Ethan Michael McCourt from Toomebridge died on Saturday, June 25th. His father Declan was also involved in the accident and is currently in hospital.
He is being treated in hospital, but his condition is not yet known.
Tributes have been pouring in for the young boy since his untimely passing.
He was described as a lovely boy who was “a great wee friend”.
Bellaghy Wolfe Tones GAC wrote: “We are devastated to share the news that our underage player Ethan McCourt has sadly passed to his eternal rest following an accident earlier this week.

Ethan’s school also penned a moving tribute to the 6-year-old.

The circumstances around the tragic accident have not yet been disclosed.
