Gardaí in Donegal are appealing for witnesses
A 13-year-old boy has been seriously injured in an e-scooter accident in Co. Donegal.
Gardaí confirmed the young boy was found unresponsive after reportedly falling from the e-scooter on Monday, January 27th.
Emergency services attended the scene in Buncrana shortly after 4.45 pm.
Gardaí stated: “Shortly after 4:45 pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted after a 13-year-old male youth was found unresponsive after an apparent fall from an e-scooter on a local road at Linsfort.”
The teenager was treated at the scene before being rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
It is believed he is in a serious condition following the accident.
Gardaí in Donegal have launched an investigation following the incident and are asking witnesses to come forward.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
The road remains closed and local diversions are in place.
The results of the technical examination will assist investigating Gardaí in determining the cause of the incident.
Witnesses, especially those with camera and dash-cam footage, have been asked to contact Gardaí.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
