What makes a great band? It’s a loaded question but usually the answer involves talent, a fresh sound and a frontman who is charismatic, full of sex appeal and has vocals unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.
Note the use of the word ‘frontman.’ For decades the realm of rock music was filled with purely male voices. There was a silent understanding within the industry that immediately singled women out.
