Watch: Gaeltacht and Coláiste Lurgan Superstars “Seo Linn” Release First Original Song

A great first original tune from the Gaeltacht crowd!

Una Kavanagh

Is breá linn an t-amhrán seo!

Seo Linn, the famous young band that formed in Coláiste Lurgan have released their first original single.

The Gaeltacht superstars who delighted us with their version of Avicii’s “Wake me Up” as Gaeilge, are best known for their amazing renditions of popular tunes in the Irish language. Have a listen to their new tune here:

“Ar Scáth a Chéile” was written and recorded by Seo Linn while they were doing voluntary work abroad in Uganda with Self-Help Africa.

“Many thanks to the Self-Help Africa team, especially Ronan Scully, and we are also indebted to Tree Light Pictures who filmed and produced the video, and of course, Mícheál Ó Foighil” they write.

“Above all, a very special thanks to the students, teachers, and staff of Ndeeba Senior Secondary School in the Kayunga district.

“Self Help Africa is an international charity that promotes and implements long-term rural development projects in Africa.”

You can also check out the tune over on iTunes.
