Last night the cream of the music crop were out in London for this year’s BRIT Awards which certainly didn’t disappoint.
Arctic Monkeys had a very good night, winning both the award for Best British Group and British Album of the Year for AM.
The indie band collected two awards last night.
The One Direction lads also fared well taking home the prize for British Video of the Year, for Best Song Ever, as well as the Global Success Award.
Meanwhile Bastille collected the prize for British Breakthrough Act while Critics’ Choice went to Sam Smith and Waiting All Night earned Rudimental and Ella Eyre Best British Single.
Ellie Goulding seemed very happy to be named Best British Female Solo Artist.
David Bowie was awarded Best British Male Solo Artist but wasn’t there to collect his award (Kate Moss did that) and Ellie Goulding seemed overwhelmed to be named Best British Female Solo Artist.
As for the rest of the world, Bruno Mars won Best International Male Solo Artist, Lorde took Best International Female Solo Artist and Daft Punk were named Best international Group.
