He’s been in the spotlight for quite a few decades now, and this time he’s getting ready for his life to take centre-stage.
An Elton John biopic is reportedly set to entertain as a musical.
Deadline have reported that well-known music promo and commercials director Michael Gracey has joined the team to oversee the project.
Writer of Billy Elliot, Lee Hall, has completed the musical’s script and the show will be produced by Elton John’s company Rocket Pictures.

It has also been revealed that Elton’s long-term partner and fellow father-of-two, David Furnish, will join Steve Hamilton Shaw as executive producer.
David Furnish will also act as Elton John’s stage biopic’s executive producer.
“Michael has an innovative, imaginative and compelling vision for the film,” Steve said of director Gracey.
Gracey is also working with Oscar-nominated Hugh Jackman for his next production, The Greatest Show On Earth.
