You’d definitely turn down the radio with this guy in your car…
Kildare native Sharon Doogan was in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon with her daughter, Kayleigh and two friends Sinead and Aisling.
Sharon and the girls had gathered with a group at the Square to hear the amazing vocals of British folk-rocker Passenger live, as he was set-up to busk.
Passenger’s stint was cut short as Police approached the 29-year-old singer and asked him to move along. After only playing one song Passenger packed up his gear and moved to another part of the City.
30 people followed the singer along with friend and fellow musician Stu Larsen to an area under Schuylkill River where he began his busking all over again.
Sharon left the girls half way through to check the parking meter ticket on her car and missed the majority of the acoustic street session, however returned in time to get a few pictures.
As the guys left Sharon noticed that they were dragging around two heavy suitcases of equipment and done what any good Irish woman would do and offered them a lift back to their hotel.
They lads were so appreciative of the lift that Passenger offered four tickets to his concert at the World Café on Sunday night.
Sharon has been living out in the US for over twenty years however friends at home in Leixlip Co. Kildare were mad with jealousy after the images were posted on Facebook.
