One Direction halted a concert in Dubai this weekend due to concerns over the safety of their fans.
According to reports the band stopped the gig an hour in when a number of fans toppled a safety barrier within the stadium.
Some fainted during the incident and a girl is said to have suffered minor injuries when the barrier she was sitting on collapsed.
Harry Styles and co apparently refused to return to the stage until they were sure that members of the audience were not in danger.
Half an hour later, after the barrier was fixed and water was handed out to those who fainted, the lads continued with the concert.
Event promoters Done Events released a statement following the incident.
It said: “The safety of their fans is of the utmost importance to One Direction, so when a breach in a barrier was discovered during the show, the decision was made to stop the show temporarily to avoid any injuries.
“The issue was rectified with no injuries reported, after which the show was resumed.”
