Noel Gallagher provides update on Oasis tour after meeting with Liam

‘I was with him yesterday’

Oasis fans haven’t got long to wait until the band finally regroup and embark on a world tour.

Anticipation for the gigs has been extremely high since they first announced the news last summer.

Speaking to Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour this morning (April 25), Noel spoke excessively about Man City before being asked briefly about the upcoming tour.

He said: “I’m just in the studio noodling around but we’re getting ready for rehearsals to start now in about three weeks. We’ll see what happens.”

When asked specifically about his brother Liam, Noel said: “He’s great. I was with him yesterday. He’s in tip top form.”

Earlier this week, Liam confirmed that he and Noel had spent Easter Sunday together.

Taking to X, Liam wrote: “So we had a BIBLICAL Easter Sunday.

“Noel, Donovan and Sonny popped over to ours for a cup of tea. It was absolutely incredible to meet the young guvs. I obviously blew their minds coz I’m cool as f—. You heard it here 1st.”

The iconic 90s rock band return to the stage this summer for the first time in 16 years with sold-out shows in Ireland and the UK.

However, fans were recently worried that they wouldn’t be getting their money’s worth, following Liam’s reply to a fan’s question on X.

After a fan wrote to the 52-year-old: “Liam some people believe Oasis gigs will last only one hour, tell em you were joking”, he replied: “Just under 59 mins 59 secs.”

There’s no surprise that this has left some fans worried and unsure as to whether or not Gallagher is joking, especially given the price of tickets for the tour.

Someone replied to his post on X saying: “Hardly I spent over 1k.”

One fan wrote on Reddit: “He’s quite unserious usually but I really hope he isn’t telling the truth here.”

Another said: “It will be an hour and a half. It’s the maximum they played in their prime. They aren’t going to now play longer when they’re much older.”

One fan speculated: “Probably 2 hours, Noel will get at least 30 minutes minimum of songs with him on vocals, maybe even 45 mins. Liam maxes out at 90 minutes as well so it works out.”
