Michael Jackson was being lined up to play the title role in Doctor Who before his untimely death according to a new book.
NME reports that Now On The Big Screen: The Unofficial and Unauthorised Guide To Doctor Who At The Cinema by Charles Norton documents the attempts to get the doctor on to the big screen.
In the book, Norton claims that Jackson was the preferred choice for a lead role in a Doctor Who film back in 1988.
Jackson was at the height of his fame during that decade, especially off the back of his film Moonwalker.
There was that Men in Black appearance?
