It’s Happening! Garth Brooks is Coming To Croke Park

Call all your friends in low places...

It seems the pleas of Irish fans will no longer be Unanswered Prayers.  Just go ahead and pour us Two Pina Coladas, because the Stetson-wearing one is back.

Country music superstar Garth Brooks is set to play two Irish dates before first worldwide tour in more than a decade.

Call all your Friends in Low Places and get ready for The Dance because today the singer announced that he is set to play GAA HQ Croke Park on Croke Park Friday 25th and Saturday 26th July 2014.

The Standing Outside the Fire singer, 51, retired from touring and recording new music back in 2001, choosing to step away from the limelight until the youngest of his daughters finished school.

Brooks announced that he was ending a three-year standing gig in Las Vegas late in 2013, sparking the first rumours of a world tour. Last December, Brooks confirmed the speculation on Good Morning America, telling host Robin Roberts that he would be making an announcement ‘Very Soon’.

Garth is the second best-selling solo albums artist of all time in the US, with only Elvis Presley ranked above him. He has sold in excess of 125 million albums.

This morning’s announcement was delayed a number of hours as Garth told a press conference this morning that he was delayed for hours as he forgot his passport.

We’re ready Garth. The day after the gig it may well be a case of Much To Young To Feel This Damn Old, but on the night you can count on us, we Ain’t Goin Down Till The Sun Comes Up.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, January 30th.
