Irish Trio Wyvern Lingo’s EP Launch Night Is One Not To Be Missed

Three incredibly talented ladies that you need to see live.

The beauty about Electric Picnic Festival is that you stumble upon acts that you may not have heard of and this year’s hidden gem came in the form of three lovely ladies from Wicklow that go by the stage name Wyvern Lingo.

The band is made up of friends Saoirse Duane on guitar, drummer Caoimhe Barry and Karen Cowley on keys. Together the girls captivate crowds with their haunting vocals and perfect harmonies and have spent the last five years mastering their craft and writing songs.

Wyvern Lingo has just released their debut EP ‘The Widow Knows‘ and to celebrate, the band will play Dublin’s Smock Alley Theatre on Thursday October 16th.

Two out of the three of the group provide backing vocals for Hozier and racked up credits with other acts that include Zaska, Samuel Vas-Y and Trinity Orchestra.

What’s most impressive about the trio is their versatility, which makes it difficult to place them into one particular genre. The highlight of their set for us at EP had to be the stripped back acapella finish that left us with goosebumps. Amazing.

Tickets for the trio’s EP launch on October 16th are priced €12 and on sale now from Ticketmaster. For more information on the band you can check out their Facebook page, Twitter and wyvernlingo.com.

Wyvern Lingo unveiled a brand new video for their single Used taken from their EP. Check out the stunning video below:
