If You’re Going To Longitude This Weekend, You NEED To Download This App

The festival takes place at Marlay Park this weekend.

Getting organised at a festival can be an uphill struggle.

With so many acts to see and so many things to do, our meticulously planned festival map generally ends up dog-eared in the bottom of a bag by the end of day one.

So, we were delighted to hear this Longitude news.

Three have unveiled a new mobile app for Longitude’s to help festival goers get the most out of their weekend in Marlay Park.

The mobile network and Longitude have married their knowledge of technology and music to improve the festival experience by creating a hub for all elements of the weekend, from stage times to customisable festival line-ups.

My Festival will streamline how music fans will plan their weekend. By detailing the line-up by time, stage, artist and location, app users can ‘favourite’ who they want to see and have their choices collated into one area for simple access, offering personalised reminders when an act is about to start.

The app offers a wide range of exciting features to customise their weekend including a News section, where festival goers can keep up-to-date with all the action in real time. There’s also an ‘About’ page which will provide all necessary travel, ticketing and charging information that music fans need for a stress-free weekend.

The Map feature will make stages easier to find and those who are snapping from their phone all weekend can see all of their photos within the app as the PhotoWall will collate all images using the hashtag #Longitude2015 into one place to capture all the action.

This year, for the first time, Three has partnered with Maser, one of Ireland’s most exciting visual artists, to give music fans the best the view in the house with 3Deck, a custom-built viewing platform in front of the main stage.

Music fans can access 3Deck through Three’s own rewards app 3Plus where festival goers can book their favourite act’s time slot two hours before to secure the top spot.

The official Longitude Festival app will be available on iPhone and Android this Wednesday July 15th at 10am.

Longing for Longitude? This year, Three customers can get the best view in the house at 3Deck, a special viewing platform of main stage designed by visual artist Maser. Download the 3Plus app for your chance to book your spot on 3Deck.
