HMV Ireland will not be following in the footsteps of their UK counterparts who have revealed that they will be accepting gift vouchers again.
Consumers in Britain have been told they will be able to use their gift vouchers and cards again but the same cannot be said for shoppers in Ireland.
A lot of customers were angry after their gift vouchers were not accepted.
The reason behind this is that HMV in Ireland is in receivership while the British leg of the music retailer is in administration.
Stores in Ireland will remain closed while those in Britain will remain open with a view to being sold on.
The difference lies with the fact that HMV Ireland is in receivership.
