She doesn’t look a day over 27, but believe it or not Alison Goldfrapp is turning 47 today! Yes, the super-stylish lady who makes up the female half of Goldfrapp is celebrating her birthday and what better way to celebrate it than taking a look at some of the band’s best tunes?
Goldfrapp stormed onto the electronic music scene back in 1999. Made up of Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, the pair recieved critical acclaim despite the fact that their felt album didn’t chart highly. It wasn’t until their second album, Black Cherry, came out that their work completely took off.

It’s suave, it’s sexy and it has some serious beats. This is probably one of the band’s best known songs.
Ride A White Horse:
This tune immediately makes us think of the 70s and dodgy discos. It’s from the band’s third album and even though it was reelase in 2005, we still love all these years later.
A&E:
Taking a slight departure from their usual sound, this tune is far more laidback than some of their earlier stuff. It’s still ridiculously catchy though and you’ll definitely find yourself humming this one randomly from time to time.
Rocket:
This tune has been compared to ‘Jump’ by Van Halen and we can definitely hear the resemblance in the opening strains. It’s catchy, it’s fun and it’s the perfect tune to rock out to when you’re having a hard time in the romance department.
