Hanging Up Her Hot Pants: Pop Superstar Is Bowing Out Of The Music Industry

We're a little in shock at this annoucement! We'll be super-sad to see her go...

Her

Kylie Minogue has officially hung up her spangly gold hot pants. Yes, believe it or not, the singing sensation has called a halt to her music career, just days after she celebrated 25 years in the music business.

The Sunday Mirror reports that Kylie has shocked her friends by splitting from her long-term manager, Terry Blamey. Terry is the man who helped Kylie to launch herself into the limelight when she was just 19 years old.

Apparently the singer was becoming increasingly upset over tensions between her manager and her dad, so she decided to part ways with Terry. Kylie has reportedly decided to take a break from music and focus on acting for the foreseeable future.

We’ll miss you Kylie!

“Kylie’s decision to stop recording for the time being and part company with Terry has come as a massive shock. Ever since she broke into the charts in the 80s Terry has been the man behind the scenes. But now Kylie is saying she wants to pull back from the pressures that come with a music career,” said a source close to the singer.

“She says she’s determined to devote more time both to herself and to her career as an actress,” the source added.

According to reports, Terry has already told friends that the split was completely amicable and that there was no bad blood between himself and Kylie.

However, sources are claiming that there could be another reason why Kylie has decided to bow out of the music industry for the time being: her old record label Parlophone has been sold to Universal.

“Kylie used to be a big fish at her former label. She’s now been put into a huge roster of acts at Universal and probably can’t expect the special treatment she was used to,” said the source.

“She may be thinking she’s achieved most of what she wants as a pop star,” the source added.

Either way, we’ll be sad to see you go Kylie although we can’t help but wonder who will try and fill your hot pants now that you’re gone?
