“Producers approached Sarah because they loved her work ethos – she’s literally in the studio every, trying out new stuff” a source revealed.

“As well as being in one of Britain’s biggest girl groups for over ten years, she has also succeeded in striking out on her own.”

“She knows every aspect of the industry and will be very forthright in her views and intends on being brutally honest to whoever she gets to mentor. This is a dream gig for her.”

Sarah is replacing songwriter Ruth Anne Cunningham who helped out Bressie last year.

“Some of the mentors in previous years haven’t been the best, so producers have put everything into getting the best people going” said a source speaking to the Irish Mirror.

“Sarah is well known for being happy to say it as it is, and they know that she’s going to add a spark to the programme.”

“Bosses want to make sure that they have the strongest team possible for the Voice of Ireland to make sure the ratings so up even more this year – and Sarah will help with that.”

Blind auditions have already been filmed for the show.
