Fancy Heading To That Ed Sheeran Gig? Here’s The Latest Update On Tickets…

Ed Sheeran’s announcement that he is going to play an intimate gig at Whelan’s later this month almost broke the Internet, with thousands of music fans hoping to get their hands on one of those golden tickets.

While initial details were very sketchy, the venue took to Twitter this evening to confirm that arrangements surrounding tickets for the event are still being determined and asked people to be patient while waiting for further updates.

The gig, which is taking place on January 24th, will be limited to a crowd of just 400 people and will be broadcast live for VH1’s Storytellers series.

Sheeran said he chose Whelan’s as the venue for the performance as it was where he saw Damien Rice play live almost a decade ago, a gig that he credits with inspiring his career.
