If so, BACARDI want to hear from you...

Rebecca McKnight

BACARDÍ has announced the line-up for the award-winning CASA BACARDÍ arena at Electric Picnic 2013, along with a recruitment drive for fans who want to work at the festival.

BACARDÍ looks set to mark the 10th Anniversary of Electric Picnic in true Latin style at this year’s festival with an incredible line-up of DJs over the course of the three days in Stradbally. This year, for the first time BACARDÍ are inviting their friends and fans to be part of the BACARDI family, in true Cuban – Mi Casa, Su Casa style. BACARDÍ will be on site with a new production recreating CASA BACARDÍ, the popular family home, and will be giving fans the chance to become a part of their exclusive family for the ultimate BACARDÍ party experience.

Whether you are the ultimate party hostess, the next big entertainment reporter or do your mixing behind the bar or on the decks, BACARDÍ has the dream festival job for you. To be in with the chance to become a BACARDÍ Bat, BACARDÍ Blogger, BACARDÍ Bar Tender and BACARDÍ DJ, simply log on to the BACARDÍ’s facebook page and tell them why you have what it takes to be part of the BACARDÍ family.

This year, BACARDÍ is also inviting its Irish Facebook fans to help create the ultimate BACARDÍ party experience at Electric Picnic allowing them to influence everything from production to the music, the cocktails, games and the atmosphere which visitors to CASA BACARDÍ will be able to enjoy throughout the weekend.

Included in this year’s CASA BACARDÍ line up is the king of New York disco and a true pioneer of the dance music scene, Nicky Siano who will bring his blend of disco boogie to CASA BACARDÍ on Saturday evening. Fellow New Yorkers, Hercules & Love Affair follow with their slick combination of synth –pop, disco and house music. Before the American’s take over, the award winning A-Skillz returns to CASA BACARDÍ due to popular demand and after exploding on to the festival scene in 2010, Dublin’s own Krystal Klear wrap Saturday’s party up with his high-energy set of hip-hop, soul, boogie and old skool house classics. Considered the most electrifying DJ sets around the world, the influential Friendly Fires bring their sought after electronic act to CASA BACARDÍ festivities on Sunday followed by legendary Belgian old and nu-disco DJ, Aeroplane who will bring the house to a perfect close that night with his incredible mix of psyche pop, classic house and Baleric Beats. The line-up also includes the talents of some of Ireland’s most popular DJs,Stevie G, Hidden Agenda DJs, Mother DJs, Big Dish Go and Nightflight DJs.

Throughout the weekend, the hugely-talented BACARDÍ bartenders will be found in the kitchen at CASA BACARDÍ, sharing their tips and tricks with festival goers on how to make their own delicious BACARDÍ cocktails in their own Casa using every day kitchen utensils. Keeping with tradition music lovers will of course be treated to festival favourite cocktails – the BACARDÍ Mojito, Cuba Libre, Raspberry Daiquiri and the classics – Bacardi and Coke, Bacardi “Oak and Coke” and many more.
