Everyone is saying the same thing about the Glastonbury lineup

Some questioned one key decision by the organisers

After much anticipation, the Glastonbury line-up has been revealed this morning and while most fans were happy, they all said the same thing about the choice of headliners.

US pop star Olivia Rodrigo and British band The 1975 will headline the iconic Worthy Farm festival.

Also headlining is rock legend Neil Young who was announced as the Saturday night headliner ahead of five-time Brit Award winner Charli XCX.

Fans flocked to social media to question the decision not to have Charli XCX headlining.

One fan said: “The 1975 headlining at Glastonbury? Why? Glad there is at least one female headliner but shocked Charli xcx was not headlining the Pyramid Stage. She deserves that slot and The 1975 make no sense at all.”

A second said: “I acc can’t believe they put Neil Young as a headliner when Charli XCX was not only right there but already headlining another stage at the same fucking festival. Genuinely dangerous from a crowd management perspective to have her on a stage that small.”

A third said: “If they put Charli on the Other Stage while Neil Young is on the Pyramid, it’ll be the dumbest and most dangerous decision they’ve ever made.”

Charli XCX will headline the Other Stage which will release her from the requirement to tone down her set for audiences on BBC One.

Cheshire’s The 1975 are festival veterans, who have headlined the Reading and Leeds festival three times since 2016 – but this will be their first time at the top of Glastonbury’s line-up.

There will also be debut Glastonbury performances by Brandi Carlile, Alanis Morisette, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Lola Young and US rap phenomenon Doechii, who will headline the West Holts stage.

Returning favourites include Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, Fatboy Slim, Loyle Carner and Scissor Sisters.
