Ed Sheeran has added a northern star to his record label in the form of Foy Vance.
Vance, a Co. Down native, has previously toured with Sheeran as a supporting act, and the pair have collaborated on various projects together. Vance joins Jamie Lawson, the first signing to Ed’s new label, Gingerbread Records.
Last year, Sheeran released a cover of Vance’s incredible track ‘Make It Rain’, which he recorded for the second last ever episode of Sons Of Anarchy.
The X hitmaker confirmed the news on his Twitter account moments ago:
I’ve signed my second act to my label. One of my all time favourite artists and inspirations, get a free track at – https://t.co/CHllN3XvKt

Last year, the Londoner inked his love for Foy, well, kind of.
A few words on his right bicep as gaelige read: “nuair is gá dom fháil bhaile, is tú mo réalt eolais”, which means, “when I need to get home, you’re my guiding light”.
The line is a lyric from Co. Down singer-songwriter, Foy Vance, and his track ‘Guiding Light’, which Sheeran features on.
Listen to the pair combining their equally beautiful voices above.
