The album is a long-awaited follow-up to her 2011 smash hit 21, and was due to be released in the coming weeks but is now said to have been postponed due to a number of delays.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the new album.
“The album is currently scheduled for release in September,” a source told The Sun.
“The most recent plan was for it to hit shops before the summer but that’s now been scrapped.”
It will be a follow-up to ’21’.
“Adele’s taking her time to make sure the album is perfect and doesn’t want to compromise.”
Adele has reportedly worked with a number of different artists including Damon Albarn and Phil Collins on the record.
