CONFIRMED: And The Headliners for Ireland’s Newest Festival Are…

This evening the line-up for the first ever Longitude festival was announced. Excited?

Music promoters MCD have this evening confirmed the headliners for the first Longitude festival, due to take place in Dublin’s Marlay Park from 19th to 21st July. Music lovers can look forward to..

Phoenix, who will take to the main stage on Friday night, followed by New York indie rockers Vampire Weekend on Saturday and Kraftwerk will perform a 3D concert on the Sunday night.

Other headliners include Yeah Yeah YeahsFoalsVillagersHot ChipJake BuggModest Mouse, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Paul Kalkbrenner, SBTRKT (DJ set), Mark LaneganLocal NativesDjango Django, Jessie Ware, TrentmØller and much more performing across the weekend on 3 stages.

New international and homegrown acts will also get their chance to shine, including Kodaline, MMoths, Tom Odell, AlunaGeorge, Flume, Cast of Cheers, Young Wonder, MØ, Mikhael Paskalev, S O H N, Petite Noir, Half Moon Run, Vondelpark and Stealing Sheep with more to be announced.

The festival, dubbed by promoters as “an open air event with more than just music”, will take place on the same weekend at the Lattitude festival in the UK. Line-up for Lattitude has yet to be announced but some acts are likely to perform both gigs, in the same way that Oxegen previously shared headliners with T in the Park. 

Tickets will be on sale from from 9am on Monday 4th March
