A campaign to stop Kanye West from headlining at Glastonbury has been gathering steam this week and gaining more and more support.

An online petition that was set up in protest of the news had, at last check, already over 55,500 signatures.

The rapper was announced as a headline act for the popular festival earlier this week but fans of Glastonbury did not take the news too well.

The petition was set up by Neil Lonsdale on Change.org who stated that West was “an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment.

“Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music… he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now [sic]!” he wrote.
