A quarantine queen, through and through.
People don’t care about celebrities anymore.
Covid-19 has shown us, the mere public, that there are plenty of other things worth worrying about, like job losses, our family’s health, and whether we’ll ever get to sit in a beer garden again.
We don’t care what celebrities are up to, how they’re filling their days, or how much they miss their friends.
We do, however, care about Britney Spears: the only good celebrity.
And in fairness to her, she’s been playing a blinder during lockdown. Since the coronavirus outbreak began, Britney has kept everybody entertained with her workout videos, her claims to have run faster than Usain Bolt, and the story about her home gym burning down.
And now, she’s only gone and released some new music for us all to enjoy. Well, alright, the song itself isn’t actually new but it’s never been available to stream outside of Japan before.
So we’ll take it.

The track, ‘Mood Ring’ appeared on Britney’s last album, Glory. The 2016 song was included on the bonus tracks of the Japanese version of the record, but now it’s been re-released for the entire globe to enjoy.
“Repurposed this since we didn’t use it,” Britney wrote on Instagram. “You folks wanted a new album cover, ta da there you go.
“What was requested next is out now. I hope you turn #MoodRing up sooooooo loud.”
Oh we will, girl. We will.
