Blast From The Past: You’ll Never Guess Which Noughties Boyband Is Reuniting Again…

They were super-popular at the start of the new millennium, but will they be able to sell out arenas this time around?

Are you ready for a major blast from the past? Boyband Blue (remember them?) have just annouced that they’re planning on releasing a new album. Yes, really.

HeatWorld.com reports that this will be the first time the boys have had any new music out in over a decade.

The band have a new single called Hurt Lovers which is set to be released this April and an album called Roulette will follow it up. If reports are to be believed, Blue are also planning on doing a massive arena tour in September.

Is it just us or are a lot of late 90s/early noughties pop acts suddenly starting to crawl back out of the woodwork?

So far this year, we’ve already seen 5ive, B*Witched, Atomic Kitten, 911, Liberty X and The Honeyz getting back together for a special reality TV show/concert called The Big Reunion and this year will also see acts like Boyzone take to the stage again.

The boys are hoping to sell-out arenas and storm the charts again

Blue have already signed up to make a special appearance at The Big Reunion live concert however, they have confirmed that they won’t be joining the full tour.

This isn’t the first time that Blue have reunited. Back in 2011 the boyband joined forces once again to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest. Their song, I Can, failed to make any impact in the competition.

Speaking at the time, Daniel Glatman, the man who helped to form the group in 2000, said: “As I said before, if Blue didn’t win Eurovision then their reputation would be in tatters.”

We hope that their current attempt at reforming turns out to be a lot more successful than their last one.
