Blast From The Past! The Headliner For This Year’s Killarney Festival Has Been Announced

Duran Duran have been announced as the headline act for this year’s Killarney Festival Of Music And Food.

The event, formerly known as the Westport Festival, will relocate to Kerry this year and the 80s rockers will perform at the event on Sunday June 28th.

The band are currently working on their 14th studio album with producers Mark Ronson and Mr Hudson and are expected to perform some new material alongside hits including Ordinary World and Hungry Like A Wolf.

Other acts confirmed for the festival include Jools Holland, Burt Bacharach, TEXAS, The Proclaimers, The Undertones,  Father John Misty and Damien Dempsey, as well as Wallis Bird, Mick Flannery, Gemma Hayes, Delorentos and many more.

The Comedy Tent will feature ten comedians, including Deirdre O’Kane and Après Match with Barry Murphy, Risteard Cooper and Gary Cooke, while celebrity chef Derry Clarke of L’Ecrivain will be among those appearing at the Killarney Gourmet Food Village.

The Killarney Festival takes place on Saturday June 27 and Sunday June 28th, with tickets priced at €76 for one day or €142 for the weekend.
