“Sending every ounce of love I have…”
Billie Eilish has paid tribute to two fans who recently passed away.
The ‘bad guy’ singer said that her heart was “shattered” to hear of the passing of Australian student Skylar Davies, who died this week aged 19.
“Sending every ounce of love I have to Skylar’s family and friends,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the pair.
“My heart is shattered (…) Rest easy beautiful girl.”
Eilish then shared another tribute not long afterwards to another one of her fans named Kira, who also passed away recently.
“Fuck, I don’t understand why all of this is happening,” she said.
“I hate this. I don’t know how I’m only finding out now. You’re not here anymore. I love you so much, Kira.
“Please fly high. Rest in peace.”
The cause of death of both women has not yet been confirmed, but Skylar’s family have since issued a statement to Daily Mail Australia saying there are “no words to express our grief at this time.”
“Skylar meant everything and more to us and we are deeply heartbroken,” said her father, Rob.
“She was an amazing daughter, sister and best friend. She was the love of my life, my everything my universe.”
He added that Skylar was a “genuine, kind, caring, beautiful creative individual.”
“I really can’t believe she is gone,” he said. “My heart breaks more as the reality of it all sinks in.”
