In recent weeks we have seen the issue of photoshop and digital manipulation crop up quite a lot, (no pun intended), and just last week it was revealed that Lena Dunham’s Vogue images were heavily doctored. This next singer cleverly paints us the very honest reality of just how much folk in the music industry are retouched, particularly women.
Hungarian singer, Boggie, released this vimeo for her latest single, Nouveau Parfum, and thanks to its director’s, Bálint Nagy and Nándor Lőrincz, we can clearly see just how much work goes on behind the scenes.
The three-minute video shows the singer transforming into a flawlessly made-up beauty, representing the pressures women face in the entertainment industry to look “perfect”.
