Switch On and Drive Off: Five Tunes For The Road

Time to get your keys, and vocal chords, prepped!

Rebecca McKnight

It’s the weekend. You’re probably getting ready to hit the road. What more could you want? Oh yes, five tunes to keep you company.

With that in mind here are a few we have picked with the help of our friends at MSL Ballsbridge…

1. Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler

You might be holding out for a hero but you won’t be left holding out for a good tune with this on the player.

2. Steal My Sunshine by Len

For the day that’s in it… although we hope nobody actually does steal our sunshine.

3. I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers

Forget walking 500 miles, you could drive 500 miles with this song on repeat and still not get sick of it. Absolute classic.

4. All Together Now by The Farm

This song doesn’t have that many words but it’s one of those tracks that is perfect for nodding along to behind the wheel.

5. Get Lucky by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams

If you can listen to this without smiling you are far stronger than us. Definitely one to get you geared up for the weekend.

Check back here for our fortnightly driving playlists, with thanks to MSL Ballsbridge
