It’s important to make the most of the beautiful occasions, so to help you out, we’ve put together our pick of the best events happening around the Emerald Isle this weekend. Take a look below.

1. Meath: The Foo Fighters at Slane

What: One of the most highly anticipated gigs of the summer. The Foo Fighters are headlining at the iconic location with a serious line-up of support acts in the form of  Hozier, Kaiser Chiefs, ASh and The Strypes. Get yourself some last minute tickets here.

When: It all kicks off at 2pm on Saturday 30 May.

2. Dublin: Forbidden Fruit

What: The Royal Hospital Kilmainham in the big smoke will play host to some of Ireland’s leading comedic talent along with some of the biggest names in music including Fatboy Slim, The Wutang Clan and Groove Armada. Get tickets here.

3. Limerick: Mick Flannery at Spiegeltent, Arthur’s Quay Park

What: One of Ireland’s most soulful singer songwriters plays this gorgeous venue in Limerick. It promises to be an incredible night. Get tickets here.

4. Kilkenny: Sky Cat Laughs

What: Ireland’s leading comedic talent will descend on the city of Kilkenny for a four day extrvaganza of comedy. Deirdre O’Kane, Ardal O’Hanlon, David O’Doherty and Jason Byrne will all be taking to the stage. Get tickets here.

When: 28 May – 1 June

5. Cork: Oceans To City, Cork Harbour Festival

What: Kicking off with the 28km flagship race, Ocean to City – An Rás Mór, this festival continues throughout the week with films, talks, a river trail, harbour cruise, seafood market, dragon boat challenge and more.

When: 30 May – 6 June
