Ah the humble sext (or sexual text message, if you will). Not only is it great for giving your man a naughty surprise when he’s at work, it’s a fantastic form of foreplay, if you enjoy being suggestive with the English language that is.
Now, we always assumed that sexting was something that the younger generations engaged in more often however, we stand corrected. According to a new survey, men and women over the age of 40 are far more likely to sext than their younger counterparts.
Yes, we were a little shocked as well but fair play to them (providing we never stumble across any of these sexts on our parents’ mobiles. Shudder!)
The poll, which was conducted by insurance website MobileInsurance.co.uk, asked 2,491 mobile users about the types of text messages they usually send.
When it comes to sexting, the over-40s are putting us to shame, apparently
Amazingly enough, 40 per cent of the over-40s who were polled admitted that they engaged in a bit of sexting every now and then, while only 9 per cent of people in the 18-25 age bracket said they did it.
A naughty 23 per cent of the over-40s who were questioned also admitted to sending a raunchy image along with their sexy message. The divils!
But a red-faced two per cent of the people who admitted to engaging in textual relations added that they have sent ‘erotic’ messages to the wrong person at least once. Morto!
Have you ever sent a naughty text to the wrong person by mistake?
