Public transport just got a WHOLE lot more convenient… for some of us.
From today, you can officially top up your leap card from your smartphone via the Leap Card app.
The app will be launched by Minister for Transport Paschal Donohoe and the National Transport Authority (NTA) later on today and will be accessible to those who have Near Field Communications- enabled Android phones.
The catch?
Those on iOS won’t be able to avail of the service until Apple Pay launches in Ireland, which means a huge number of public transport users are left out of the loop for now.
Leap Top-Up will be available via the Google Play Store.
