It seems the Partyrocker may no longer be welcome in the X Factor house.
Singer Redfoo, best known as one half of LMFAO, is rumoured to be in line for the chop from the Australian version of the hit talent show, following criticism of his new single Literally I Can’t.
The song includes lyrics such as “You’re annoying bitch because you’re talking”, “I said jump on the pole” and “Shhh, don’t talk about it be about it. Work it, twerk it and maybe I’ll tweet about it.”
The video, meanwhile, show a group of American frat boys react angrily to rejection from sorority sisters.
Both the song and the video have been slammed by fans of the show for it’s misogynistic lyrics and message, and TV bosses are said to be paying close attention to the public sway.
Now Australian outlets are reporting that the American will not be welcome to return to his place on the panel next year.
Currently, he appears alongside fellow judges Dannii Minogue, Ronan Keating and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
Redfoo has come out fighting at the reception of the song via social media, posting a series of tweets in which he blamed critics and said they were “purposely misinterpreting” his work “to support a pre-existing agenda”.
Another example of critics victimizing an artist by purposely misinterpreting his/her work to support a pre-existing agenda. #LiterallyICant

Fact #3: @PlaynSkillz @LilJon @EnertiaMcFly & I made a comical party song to satirize the cliche #LiterallyICant. Some get it, some don’t.
