Would You Wear a Wedding Ring That Brands You?

We can't decide if this just plain silly or a work of genius. What do you think?

There’s a lot of strange gadgets out there in the world, and to be honest, we’re not sure if this one is plain crazy or actually a stroke of genius. We just can’t decide…

Today, ladies, we’re chatting about the Anti-Cheating Ring which is currently on sale at TheCheeky.com. What is it you ask? Well it’s basically a wedding ring that brands your other half so he can’t do the dirty on you. Nice, right?

Yes, the Anti-Cheating Ring is engraved with the words “I’m married” in big, bold letters. Now the thing about the Anti-Cheating Ring is the fact that these words are engraved on the inside of the wedding band and they press, ever-so-slightly, into the skin of your beloved.

This means that when your other half slips off his wedding ring, the words “I’m married” will be clearly visible on the skin of his wedding band finger, showing everyone that he is in fact married and that they should not engage in any illicit behaviours with him. It is hoped that seeing the words will dissuade any other women from flirting up a storm with him behind your back.

So what do you think? Is branding himself a good idea to help remind him of his marriage vows? Would you be turned off if you saw those two little words stamped onto a man’s finger?

More importantly, would you actually spend $550 on this ring? Eh…we don’t know about you but for that kind of money, we’d much prefer to drop it on a pair of Louboutins or Choos.

The ring itself is made from strengthened titanium and it comes with a lifetime guarantee from The Cheeky which ensures that you can avail of it “till death and all that.”

It may be a complete gimmick, but deep down, maybe there’s some sense behind this idea. After all, it wasn’t too long ago that men were putting microchips into their girlfriend’s underwear in an attempt to make sure they weren’t cheating on them…
