Woman calls out haters after being bodyshamed at the gym

It's hard to believe that going to the gym is considered a crime.

With the hot weather (hopefully) approaching fast and thick, many of us are heading to the gym or doing last minute classes in a desperate bid to feel a bit better on the beach or pool. It takes a serious amount of guts and effort to go to the gym as it can be intimidating sharing machines and mats with souped-up gym bunnies, never seen without a protein shake and yoga mat in their hands.

If you're a newbie to the gym, it's fair to say you need a serious amount of motivation and dedication to actually stay in a routine of exercise and unfortunately for one woman, her spirits were completely dashed at a recent visit to the gym. One Imgur user was attending a gym session to try lose weight when she heard a group of men behind her making mean comments about her appearance. In a brave post, Mrsjimbeam313 called out the body shamers for their nasty insults about her body which she was only trying to work on. Posting pictures of herself before the gym session, the inspiring mother told of the ordeal she had to endure while on an innocent trip to her local gym. In the post, the woman tells of the names she was called like "hog" and "fat ass"

"To the grown ass group of men outside of the Wawa: "Your laughter and rude comments didn't stop me from busting my ass at the gym today. Please excuse my lack of makeup and my ratty old clothes. I did not leave the house to impress you today. I went to impress myself and to make my son proud of his mom. "This "hog" as you so graciously deemed me has been on a journey to better herself. My doctor was blown away by my blood work. My total cholesterol was 118 which is well below the 200 limit for normal. I don't have diabetes or high blood pressure either. How many of you can say the same? Especially those of you who are clinically obese? "This "fat ass" almost gave up today. After being ridiculed I sat in my car in the parking lot and cried. I wanted nothing more than to go home binge watch "River Monsters". But I didn't. I gave you all a big fuck you and busted my fat ass. Over a hour, of sweating and huffing but I did it. "Now please excuse my big fat ass as I go home to my loving son who probably wants me to run around with him for another hour."
