A woman has found her biological father, whom she has never met, using social media.
Melonie Dodaro from Canada launched a Facebook appeal in the hope of finding her dad and she was successful despite only having a few details.
She knew his name (Cees de Jong) and that he was from the Netherlands. She also knew that he visited Canada back in 1968 at which point her mother fell pregnant.

Within 48 hours of posting the video, a Dutch newspaper interviewed Melonie. This led to a number of people getting in touch with the publication.
According to reports, the editor soon found himself with a bio and a phone number for Melonie’s father. While she was too nervous to make contact, her dad wasn’t.
She took to Facebook following the phone call to let everyone know that she had found him.
