We’ve heard of road rage, but rail rage?!
An Irish Rail train travelling from Dublin’s Connolly station to Sligo earlier this evening experienced delays after a woman contacted Gardaí over issues concerning pre-booked seats.
The female passenger was outraged when a male asked her politely to move from the seat he had pre-booked online.
Passengers, including Shane Gillen who live tweeted the events, looked on in disbelief as the woman became “aggressive” and argued with the driver.
On @IrishRail train.
Announcement comes on:
"There'll be a short delay here as we await the Gardai to attend the train"
So,there's that.

The train stopped at Maynooth and an announcement confirmed a delay to those on board.
“There’ll be a short delay here as we await the Gardai to attend the train”
Here’s how things unfolded…
A passenger STOPPED our @irishrail train & called the guards because a man asked her politely to move out of the seat he had PREBOOKED.

She is now arguing with the driver. Everyone in the carriage backed up the man who she had claimed was aggressive. We are still stopped.

Train is still sitting in Maynooth. @IrishRail staff dealt well with her. She was moved to another seat. Elephant in the room much…
