If you are an ambitious young writer dreaming of a future in journalism - we'd really like to hear from you.  Team Her.ie are recruiting and we now have a position available for a driven and talented junior to join our happy team. We're coming up to our third birthday and with an accelerated growth in traffic to the site we have some openings on our team. Recently, we advertised for a new full-time journalist. Amongst the masses of CVs and cover letters, we received so many impassioned pleas from writers who did not have the required experience, but who wanted so badly to prove their worth. If that sounds like you, now's your chance! We currently have an opening for one intern. This position is office-based, at our Dublin HQ. It is full-time and is a paid position. We don't take interns on to make the tea either - you'll be working alongside our dedicated editorial team from day one. Working across all topics featured on Her.ie, you'll have the opportunity to serve your pieces to over 1.75 million unique visitors to the site every month and a social media audience of over 335,000 people. As with all internships within our parent company Maximum Media, there is an opportunity to turn this six-month stint into a full-time job. Vacancies can and will be created for candidates who excel in this fast-paced and creative environment. As with our full-time team, you will work forty hours a week across a variety of shifts. We want people who:

• Are interested in all the topics we cover for the site from style to travel, beauty to movies, health to motors and lots more
• Are eager to embrace all things online and to be ahead of the curve on how news and entertainment stories are now shared
• Have an innate understanding of how social media works and how best to utilise it
• Are brimming full of ideas for creative, quirky content that helps us stand out from the crowd
• Will be excited to represent Her.ie in other media – radio and television appearances, video content for the site and podcasts

We’ll need to see:

• An up-to-date CV
• A cover letter, explaining why you want to work for Her.ie and what you could bring to this role
• An opinion piece, on a topic of your choosing, to be approx. 600 words.
• A feature piece in the style of our regular ’10 Things’ pieces.
