Another Friday rolls around! Here are ten things that put a smile on our faces this week…

Field of Dreams
Nothing made Clare woman Michelle happier this year than a repeat visit to Croke Park to see her home county lift the Liam Mc Carthy Cup for the first time since 1997. She adores Davy Fitz and will not hear a bad word said about him, (trust us), so when he welled up, the floodgates opened for her too. Totes emosh. She was fine again in time for a stirring rendition of The Banner Roar in Coppers, mind.
Take No Prisoners
This week Sue visited Kilmainham Gaol to take a tour. She hadn’t been on the tour since she was about 12 and was really blown away by the new museum part and the renovations that have been done to the building. The tour only costs about €6 and is completely worth it. Ask for Micheal if you go, he’s one of the nicest tour guides.
Taking the sting out of a tummy bug
Upset tummy? Úna has the solution! This week she was feeling a bit under the weather had cups and cups of nettle tea to calm her tummy – and thankfully it seems to be working. Don’t worry, you won’t need to have dock leaves by your side while you’re drinking it!
Take Me To The Church
Team member Grace is passionate about music of all kinds from every genre and this week she has fallen in love with the vocal chords of upcoming Irish artist, Hozier. Grace downloaded Hozier’s debut EP ‘Take Me To The Church’ from Bandcamp and suggests you do the same. With a fresh and soulfully charged unforgettable sound, the Wicklow singer-songwriter is one to watch.
Vit Hit
Two things you will always find on Michelle’s desk – chocolate (in case of emergency) and multivitamins. This once daily multivitamin is packed with ginseng, vitamins and minerals including Vitamin B6 and B12, iron and calcium, and is scientifically proven to gradually build and sustain energy levels, music to our hardworking ears. Nothing that comes in tablet form will equal a good diet, plenty or rest and exercise, but a good multivitamin will you to tick all the boxes and ensure your body is getting everything it needs to work hard. Pharmaton Active Life is relatively new to Ireland and is suitable for daily on-going use. We’ll take anything that promises a helping hand!
Movie Magic
Sue was away on holidays last week in France so she missed a couple of the screenings but finally got around to seeing Prisoners and has been raving about it ever since. Probably the best film she has seen this year. She’s also now in love with Jake Gyllenhaal.
Popping bubbles
To fuel Úna’s slight addiction to popping bubble wrap, she’s instead popping bubbles. The game, which is available on the phone app Taptitude, has her furiously aiming to beat her high score every night. She’s currently passed the 1.6 million points mark – definitely addicted!
Love/Hate
The fourth series of the hit RTÉ show begins on Sunday night, so if Her.ie is VERY quiet at that time, don’t be alarmed. We’re devoting all our attention to Nidge, Fran and co and we’ll be back right after, we swear…
