Another Friday rolls around! Here are ten things that put a smile on our faces this week…

Ahoy Maties
This week Grace got to combine two of her main loves, fancy dress and pirates, as she headed off to Co. Mayo for the Westport House Halloween Festival. With her four-year-old nephew and sister in tow, Grace got to meet her idol and inspiration for her retirement, Grace O’ Malley (bronze statue), as they enjoyed the Pirate Adventure Park, ghost train ride, and story time with the resident white witch. It is no surprise that Westport House’s Halloween Festival has been voted the country’s number one event, with something for both kids and adults. Grace is already looking forward to next year.
Defying Gravity…
This week, Sue got to see a film that is one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year – Gravity, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. Luckily, she really liked it, despite the fact that she thought she was going to throw up from the tension.
Tantastic
Cathy was delighted when Cocoa Brown sent in some goodies this week. Tough Stuff is a body exfoliator that’s getting great reviews and the new Chocolate Whip body lotion smells amazing too. The cute cake pops which accompanied the goodies were well received by all in the office it has to be said…
West Side Story
Rebecca had the pleasure of seeing West Side Story at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this week. As well as the incredible soundtrack, which includes America and Somewhere, she thought the cast were amazing and thoroughly enjoyed seeing an Irish talent (Rachel Ensor) on the stage.
To infinity, and beyond!
Úna was incredibly excited receive The Sims 3: Into the Future Expansion Pack in office. The Sims has long been one of her favourite series to play and she can’t wait to get her hands on a jetpack and teleporter for her Sim!
Winter Wonderland Wardrobe
Michelle spent much of this week watching movies like Hocus Pocus and Death Becomes Her, in honour of the spooky season, but no sooner was it over than her first Christmas jumper of the season landed in the office. Penneys makes Michelle happy at the best of times, so this delivery out a very big smile on her face.
Free Beer!
The lovely folk from Thinkhouse dropped us all in some Desperados this week, which of course made Sue very happy, as she likes beer. She likes free beer even more.
Back in Time
The clocks went back an hour at the weekend which made Cathy very happy as it’s no longer pitch black when getting up. As you can probably tell she’s not exactly a morning person…
Feeling Festive
While Rebecca is fully aware of the fact that Halloween is just over, she can’t help but get excited about that fact that Christmas is coming. In fact she is unable to walk down the street without stopping to look at the shop window displays and is currently making a list of all the gift bags and ribbons she plans to buy in Penneys.
These boots were made for walkin’
Looking for more comfortable footwear for work, Úna decided to invest in a pair of decent boots for her walk into work. She fell in love with this pair of biker style boots from Dunnes Stores and snapped them up right away.
