The Nesting Period
Cathy has recently moved into a new house and is having fun making it pretty. As well as fashion, she’s now obsessed with interiors too. Penneys have some great homeware pieces at the moment, she snapped up this cosy throw for €20 and even better a cute photo frame for just €2.
Always the Bridesmaid
Grace has the task of organising a hen party this year, as her eldest sister plans to wed in August. The New Year means that the pressure is on for party plans from eager hens, and this week Grace spent a few days seeking out the greatest Hen & Stag party destinations in the country, settling with Cork as the chosen city. This had nothing to do with her love for Roy Keane, she promises us.
Dear Diary
This week, Sue received her new 2014 diary in the post which she bought from Taschen.com. Sue picked the London diary as she spent almost two and a half years there and loves the city. She may be slightly obsessed. http://www.taschen.com/
New York, New York
Michelle is spending January being very dull indeed; eating well, staying in and saving money. But it’s all for a very good reason, as she has just booked a trip back to her spiritual home of New York for March. The flights, hotels and tickets to Madison Sq. Garden are already booked and paid for, now she just needs to look after the shopping fund…
American Hustle
After hearing brilliant reviews from other members of Her.ie, Cathy is seriously excited about going to see this film. Namely for the inclusion of J=Law but by all accounts it’s a brilliant story too. Since cake-obsessed Cathy heard Jen tripped on the way to collect her Oscar because she was thinking about cake, she’s convinced they are kindred spirits…
In the Buff
The one thing Grace has learnt from her online searching is that you should always be careful what you write on Twitter, as you may end up earning some interesting new followers, like Buff Butlers, that promise to supply the highest quality naked butler for any occasion. We don’t doubt it for one minute.
That Awkward Moment…
Sue went along to check out the new Zac Efron film, That Awkward Moment and even though she isn’t a big fan of the film, she is a huge fan of Zac Efron. “He doesn’t have his top on for a lot of that film.” It might be worth checking out.
Music News
The line-up for Coachella was revealed this week and this year’s selection of acts looks pretty impressive. Úna was particularly happy to see MUSE, Warpaint, Sleigh Bells and Arcade Fire on the list and now she’s very tempted to head over for the festival…
Kitting out the Home
Rebecca might be enjoying her last day speeding down the slopes today but she’s not going to just sit back when she gets home this weekend. In fact, she’s planning to take full advantage of the sale on at FINLINE Furniture in County Laois. It’s only running until Sunday so she’ll have to move quickly if she wants to get the best bargains for her apartment!
