Party Time!
The Her.ie team had their staff night out at The Church this week. As well as a few drinks (okay, so it was more than a few drinks) and lovely food, our very own Grace O’Reilly made a new friend, one that was wearing a fantastic festive suit!
On The Surface
Michelle is playing with a new toy this week. She’s got her hands on the Microsoft Surface 2, and has spent every spare minute playing with it. Of course, it hardly counts as ‘spare minutes’ if she gets work done too, though, so she’s considering it justified. This lightweight gadget is seriously impressive, and Michelle is already looking forward to some quality time with it. Look out for a full review after the Christmas break.
Wardrobe Winners
Shopping isn’t Grace‘s greatest love however she does make a trip to the shops once a season. On Thursday evening she made a trip to The Quays in Newry and into Miss Selfridge to pick up an outfit for the Her staff party last night.
J Law on Fire
Cathy finally got to see The Hunger Games: Catching Fire this week and it cemented her love for J-Law. Even better than the first installment, there were a few surprises and it definitely kept her guessing. Those costumes, that love triangle and the fast pace of the movie… now she just has to wait another 13 months at least, for the next part!
Cheesy Calls
The good folks at Eddie Rockets sent us in this amazing phone this week, reminding us of a similar device that lived in the Summer Bay diner. If you ever call Her.ie, you can picture us chatting on this bad boy.
Nailed It
In preparation for the Christmas party, Rebecca decided to do something different and festive with her nails. She opted for black nail polish with a layer of sparkle and was very proud of the final results (despite Grace’s jokes). In fact she’s hoping they’ll last until Christmas Day… you never know, it could happen, if she doesn’t do anything with her hands between now and then!
It’s a geek thing!
The fictional map wall has begun! Úna always has had a fascination with sci-fiction and fantasy worlds and has started a new project at home where she’s collecting maps! So far she has Middle-Earth, Los Santos from GTAV and the map of Red Dead Redemption. Now to hunt down Westeros, Nosgoth, Gaia, Hyrule and Spira…
It’s A Dog’s Life
Cathy hasn’t visited home in a while so she can’t wait to get home for the festive season. She has been missing this face a lot… her pet pooch Bailey is considered the fourth child in the Donohue household. Who could resist that face?!
Once You Pop
Rebecca wasn’t the only member of the Her.ie team who enjoyed the arrival of Pringles in the office. Once they popped, none of the girls could stop munching on the crisps which came in all different flavours including Texas BBQ Sauce which was especially addictive.
Tis Himself
Finally, the Man in Red dropped in with Cuckoo Events to say hello to us this week. Clearly, we’ve been very good. Happy Christmas!
