A Modern Marvel

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Sue is quite the fan of movies, more particularly the Avengers. Well, really, she’s in love with Captain America. So, she was pretty delighted with the Penney’s collection of superhero stuff. She only owns all of it now.

Suspense, tension and toying with emotions

This week Úna started playing PS3 dark thriller drama, Heavy Rain. With the power to make decide who does or not and decide how the actual story plays out – She’s going to be an emotional wreck after finishing this one.

On the evening make up artist, Zoe Clarke was at hand to showcase just how will the latest additions to the line works. The new Corrective Compact Cream guarantees 12-hour coverage. The Correct Stick camouflage lasts for 14 hours and even disguises black ink tattoos. Lastly is the Total Body Corrective Foundation ideal for covering up skin blemishes and birthmarks, this product lasts for a total of 16 hours and all are non-comedogenic. Amazing!

Bookworm’s Best

For the last week Rebecca has been flying through Veronica Roth’s Divergent book trilogy. As a fan of The Hunger Games, she was a little sceptical at first due to the similarities between the two but is now addicted. She is half through the second instalment and can’t wait to get to the end which, at the rate she’s going, should be pretty soon.

Get in ma belly…

This week, Team Her.ie headed out for dinner to say goodbye to our lovely intern Alanna and the crew at Rustic Stone took very good care of us with a fab feed of steak, Prosecco, chocolate soup and some very more-ish dessert cocktails. They’re definitely in our good books now!

Baked Goodness

Liz considers herself a brownie expert. It’s her thing. This also mean’s she judges brownies on an approved system (don’t judge, it’s a great technique). This week, Liz treated herself to a brownie from Peacock Green, and it was everything you want in a good treat. Tasty, creamy chocolate and just the right moistness (not too soggy and definitely not stale). If you’re walking by the window, you’ll probably see Liz hanging around the counter…

I ‘Sea’ Summer

Cathy and Michelle dropped into River Island this week to have a sneak peek at what they have in store for high summer. Bright bikinis, high platforms, printed jumpsuits and pretty dresses are soon to drop and they had a lot of fun checking out the new trends.
