We’ve all been there.
You nip out to the shops to get a quick coffee on your lunch break when the heavens decide to open, leaving you scampering for shelter looking something similar to a drowned rat.
There’s no telling what our crazy Irish weather will hold, even in Summer. It can be sunny one minute with torrential downpours the next.
While we try to remain upbeat about our dreary weather, we can never quite muster the optimism of Gene Kelly.

The video captures how a simple kind gesture can make someone’s day and we absolutely love it.
The folks at 123.ie decided to take to the streets of Dublin on one particularly rainy morning to help the population battle our crazy weather.
The video which shows them dishing out umbrellas to unsuspecting commuters is actually the cutest thing we have seen in a while. Just have a look at their faces! It’s even managed to thaw our cold hearts.
If that doesn’t make your day a whole lot brighter we don’t know what will. Now we just need 123.ie to follow us around so we never get caught in the rain again.
