Irishman Michael Gibson is making a name for himself thanks to his phenomenal artistic abilities.
The 20-year-old is followed online by some of the world’s biggest superstars. From Calvin Harris to Rihanna, Jason Derulo to Jessie J, and even Ed Sheeran owns a piece of his work.
Gibson has received high-praise from a string of other high-profile names due to his incredible portraits and eye for intricate detail.
However it is his first drawing of 2015 that stands out as one with a difference.
Gibson pencilled a striking image that depicts a Barbie doll with half of her face free from makeup and the message ‘We All Wear A Mask’.
“I have wanted to work on something like this for quite a while and finally came up with a concept on the best way to put it down on page and get the message across”, Mike told Her.ie.
“The main message I hope this conveys is that it’s okay to wear a mask, we all have our insecurities and parts of us that we feel we need to hide or feel ashamed of”.
“I believe everyone can relate to it in their own way”, he added.
Gibson hopes that his work shows people that it is okay to be vulnerable sometimes and also hopes it encourages those who need to talk to someone about their hangups, to do so.
