Dublin’s feeling pretty magical right about now.
It really is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas these days, and if you’ve been out and about in Dublin this afternoon, you’ll probably have noticed loads of people sporting Christmas jumpers in a bid to set a new record.
While all of that was going on though, thousands of others were also looking forward to 6pm when something pretty special was taking place – the O’Connell Street Christmas lights were officially being switched on.
With boy band Hometown entertaining the crowds, there was a suspense-laden drum roll that cued the lights turning on and Christmas officially arriving on O’Connell Street.
